- The renewed 2024 exhibition “The History of Egri Castle,” accompanied by thematic workshops in the Castle Workshop creative circle, covered the following topics:
- What jewelry has survived from the Árpád era?
- What internal and external decorations were used in contemporary books?
- What kind of heating was used during King Matthias’s reign?
- How did people entertain themselves during the Renaissance?
- What memories remain from the period of the Reformation?
- What was Eger like during the Turkish era?
- In our small exhibition, we present the artifacts known from the castle history exhibition through the children’s creations.

- Our guest is writer Ágnes Gaura, who will be in conversation with Zsófia Novákné Mlakár
- Related program: Eger Tales – Family playful activities related to the children’s book

- Sebő, the main character of the story, guides participating families through the “History of Egri Castle” exhibition, where they solve tasks with the help of a “passport.” This aims to spark interest in the joy of shared reading and the true stories of the heroes defending Egri Castle. Among those who complete the tasks at the five stations, a winner will be drawn the next day, who will receive a copy of the new children’s book as a prize.

- The István Dobó Castle Museum’s castle history exhibition was opened on October 17, 2024, on Egri Castle Day. This was the fourth reorganization of the exhibition, first opened in 1965, with content and installations adapted to our times. The guided tours by the staff of the István Dobó Castle Museum reveal events from the thousand-year history of Egri Castle to visitors.
