The Szilvásvárad Masters competition series will bring together three disciplines of equestrian sports, in addition to dressage and show jumping, with a great emphasis on the already well-known cog-driving discipline.
The aim of the series is to re-engage Szilvásvárad in the blood circulation of world equestrian sports, which has become a reality by 2022.
The Állami Ménesgazdaság Szilvásvárad is the second largest stud farm in the world, which is responsible for the breeding of the Lipizzaner breed. He has bred countless world-famous individuals of the breed since the establishment of the farm in 1952. In addition to breeding, it organized many international equestrian competitions in the past, which were also monitored worldwide. However, its history goes back much earlier, as archaeologists found 3,000-year-old Bronze Age equestrian statues on the site of the horse track.
Szilvásvárad is a cog-driving competition venue with a long tradition, which again welcomes international-level cog-drivers in 2022. After the historic moments of the 1984 four-wheel drive world championship, the stadium of the Lipica Equestrian Center in Szilvásvárad, as well as the new marathon course, are the XXI century of sport. suitable in all aspects of the needs of the 20th century.
The cog-driving competition of the Masters competition series, held for the first time in 2021, was an overwhelming success: 99 cogs tested their skills in the competition.
the marathon track built in the panoramic view of Bükk and one of the largest and most modern equestrian stadiums in Europe has already proven itself: it was held in front of thousands of spectators, with a high number of entries and excellent feedback.
In the summer of 2022, the way will be opened for legends to be born again on the Szilvásvárad riding track.
In addition to showjumping events, the program is enriched by horsemanship, cog driving and dressage demonstrations.
