Aurevoir. concert at Dobó Square.

Aurevoir. is an ethno-beat band formed in 2015 in Zsámbék, Hungary, consisting of young musicians who blend the folk music traditions of the Carpathian Basin with Anglo-Saxon beat-folk influences, as well as elements of underground punk and metal. Originally a six-member group, the band now features eight musicians, and their instrumentation includes not only classic rock instruments but also unique ones such as the Irish bouzouki, mandolin, accordion, saxophone, flute, and violin. Their diverse sound is enriched by motifs from Hungarian, Roma, Irish, and South Slavic folk music, as well as French chanson, and even Renaissance and Baroque music. Humor and self-irony often appear in their songs, and in a short time, Aurevoir. has become one of Hungary’s most inventive and popular bands, having released three full-length albums and an EP to date.
