Discover the Essence of Hungary – Language, Wine & Culture This Summer in Eger.
On behalf of Eszterházy Károly Catholic University (further EKCU), we are delighted to invite you to an unforgettable summer experience in the heart of one of Hungary’s most enchanting wine regions. Our Centre for Foreign Language Training and Services proudly presents two distinctive Summer Universities, both taking place from 29 June to 10 July 2026, in the historic town of Eger – a city famed for its baroque architecture, rich cultural heritage, and world-renowned wines.
1) Hungarian Language and Culture Summer University
Dive into the vibrant world of Hungarian language and tradition through this immersive, two-week programme. Learn from expert instructors with extensive experience in teaching international students, while enjoying carefully curated cultural excursions and social events. Eger’s charm and EKCU’s professional guidance provide the perfect setting for meaningful, engaging language learning.
2) Wine Culture and Wine Gastronomy Summer University
For wine lovers, culinary explorers, and cultural enthusiasts, this course offers an extraordinary opportunity to discover the soul of Hungarian wine. Through a blend of academic insights and sensory experiences, you’ll explore viticulture, oenology, and the history and artistry behind the wines of the Eger Wine Region. Wine tastings, vineyard visits, and gastronomic events will take your learning far beyond the classroom – into the glass and onto the plate.
