Memorial Day in the Castle of Eger
National memorial sites are the most important locations in our history, they are both symbolic and real spaces of memory. Although they are often important architectural works, they are not considered significant primarily on the basis of historical aspects, but because of their prominent historical role. They provide the opportunity for visitors to experience the fate-changing events, tragedies, and glorious moments of Hungarian history. There are currently 20 national monuments in the country, including the Castle of Eger. Our institution is joining the national event again this year.
