Easter in the Castle of Eger

The program cavalcade at the Dobó István Castle Museum lasts from Holy Saturday to Easter Monday, offering numerous family activities for visitors.

The knights of Eger Castle will hold interactive guided tours 10 times a day, alongside historical weapon and lifestyle demonstrations. On Saturday and Sunday at 3:00 PM, visitors can explore our History of Eger Castle exhibition with the help of curators.

On Holy Saturday, the fortress will host the XIX. Dobó István Cup Historical Archery Competition, where hundreds of athletes dressed in period costumes will showcase their skills.

Craftsmen will also be part of the Easter festivities: activities include Easter egg painting, an egg shoeing demonstration, felting, pottery making, a craft playhouse, family riddles, a folk playground, and a petting zoo.
