Wine Festival in Eger- 2026

Wines, flavors, experiences, stories, a meeting of many people in one of the most beautiful cities in the country.

The Eger Wine Festival will promote Hungary's first protected origin wine, the now "Hungarikum" Egri Bikavér, its white counterpart, the Egri Csillag, and the Eger protected origin wines, as the event pays special attention to the connections between cultured wine consumption, direct contact with the consumer, gastronomy, food and wine, and culture. The event is a complex art and gastronomy festival, as it is an old and popular tradition of the Wine Festival that the best kitchens of Eger and the surrounding area prepare their food specialties composed for the unique occasion for our flagship wines, which, in addition to the presentation of the folk culture and traditions of the diverse Hungarians and the tasting opportunities, also provides a serious artistic experience. On the occasion of the patron saint's day of grape and wine producers, we award the winemakers who make the best wines, we choose the best grape and wine producer and wine gastronome of the previous year, and in justified cases, a medal for the Eger Grape and Wine Culture will be presented as a lifetime achievement award. The wine, the fabulous environment, the concerts are a great opportunity to relax, a little "away" from everyday worries, and relive the irreplaceable, lifelong experience of togetherness, reunion and spiritual closeness with family, friends, and long-lost acquaintances.
