Wine Culture and Wine Gastronomy Summer University
The aim of the two-week Wine Culture and Wine Gastronomy Summer University is to give participants an overall understanding of Hungarian wine culture, focusing on the historical and cultural importance of the Eger Wine Region. The course combines academic learning with hands-on activities. It aims to educate on viticulture (the growing of grapes) and oenology (the study of wine), showcase the diversity and practices of regional wines and promote cultural immersion. It will also encourage a global appreciation of Hungarian wine.
Course dates and fees:
- Date: 30 June - 11 July, 2025
- Venue: Eszterházy Károly Catholic University - Building B (4 Egészségház utca, 3300 Eger Hungary)
- Course fee (including teaching materials, excursions, wine tasting, cultural events, related travel expenses): 900 EUR
- Registration fee: 50 EUR
