Complete Kafka exhibition at Sándor Bródy Library


The Sándor Bródy Library is open all summer! In addition to the traditional library services, as well as storytelling and craft activities, camps, and the park library, visitors are now offered an exhibition within the cool walls of the Great Prefect's Palace. The Complete Kafka exhibition coming to Eger courtesy of the Goethe Institute in Budapest can be seen from July 10 to August 10, 2024 in the Sándor Bródy Library.


The exhibition was created on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the death of Franz Kafka, the German-language writer born in Prague. Although he was little known during his lifetime, he became world famous after his death.His works such as The Metamorphosis, The Trial and The Castle are now part of the international literary heritage.Kafka was not only the author of prose works, but also a passionate draftsman.On the occasion of the anniversary, Nicolas Mahler's comic book biography brings his characters to life.

Nicolas Mahler was born in 1969 and lives in Vienna, where he works as a cartoonist and illustrator.His works, including comics and cartoons, appear in renowned newspapers and magazines such as Die Zeit, NZZ am Sonntag, Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung and Titanic.

The exhibition was created with the support of the Goethe Institute in Budapest.
