At the joint evening of harpist Klára Bábel and singer Emese Vári-Kovács, a rich repertoire spanning from the Baroque to Late Romanticism will resound, featuring performances of works by Handel, Mozart, Glinka, and Purcell, among others.

Klára Bábel – harp
At the age of 12, Klára Bábel was admitted to the Preparatory School of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music majoring in piano; she received her piano diploma in 2006 and her harp diploma in 2007. In 2008, she was awarded a diploma at the 4th Vera Dulova International Harp Competition in Moscow. She received the Artisjus Award in 2010, and won the Annie Fischer Musical Performing Arts Scholarship in 2010, 2011, and 2013. In 2010, she won an audition for the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. She has performed in London, at the National University of Music Bucharest, in Riga, Baku, and has given solo recitals in Canada on two occasions. In 2015, she won 1st place at the 7th Marcel Tournier International Harp Competition in the chamber music category. In 2016, she won a Golden Award at the 8th International Competition and Festival Svirél in the chamber music category. Since 2011, she has been the artistic director of the "Sounds of Bábel" concerts, a project she envisioned. The management of the Hungarian Radio Art Ensembles awarded her the Orchestral Artist of the 2019/2020 Season prize. She received her doctoral degree from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in 2024, and is currently an MA student in Art Instruction at the ELTE Faculty of Humanities.
Emese Vári-Kovács – vocals
Born in Eger, singer Emese Vári-Kovács graduated from the Academy of Music in 2006, then continued her studies in the United States, where she earned a Master's degree. She won a special prize at the Bach-Handel Competition in 2007 in Winchester (Virginia), and was a guest artist at the same festival in 2008. Since 2013, she has been a chorus artist at the Hungarian State Opera. In addition to her work at the Opera, she is a soloist at Baroque concerts, and has recently launched her concert organization business under the name MSE Event. Its first concert series started in January at Villa Bagatelle in Budapest, featuring harpist Klára Bábel as the debut performer.
