The Eger Sports Museum opened its doors in 1993 in the building of the former county prison
Visitors can learn about local, Hungarian and international sports history in 12 rooms on three floors. The exhibited objects were created by the father of the museum, dr. Collected by Ferenc Székely.
On the first floor (in the chapel) you can see the Olympic mascots, torches, flags, relics, the clothes, equipment, medals of the Olympic team, as well as the orienteering and pentathlon hall. On the second floor, there is a temporary exhibition entitled "Sports in art", where athletes depicted by artists can be seen. The excellences and relics of swimming and water polo can be seen in the rooms on the third floor.
