Demjén concert

Data wygasła

Ferenc Demjén is a real star.

He turned 75 last year, but he tours the country with his concerts with the same enthusiasm as at any time during his more than 50-year career.

He became nationally known on New Year's Eve in 1970, when a few minutes before midnight, he and the Bergendy band performed the song Mindig ugyanúgy on Hungarian Television. Bergendy rocked record sales and presented the audience with countless live hits. (Sajtból van a Hold, Jöjj vissza vándor, Love, etc.)

After the Bergendy group, Demjén Rózsi made a solo album, from which the title song  Fújom a dalt as well as the songs Sohase félj and Mikor elindul a vonat, which have been played by countless radio stations since then, are popular hits.

This was followed in the 80s by the V'Moto-rock era, which poured out the songs of the era as a progressive band ahead of its time. (Gyertyák, Jégszív, El kell, hogy engedj, Fekszem az ágyon, etc.)

Parallel to the V'Moto-rock era, he dominated the domestic popular music market with the title songs of 4 films:  Szerelem első vérig, Szerelem második vérig, Moziklip, Honfoglalás.

From this formation, composer and guitarist János Menyhárt became a key figure in Demjén's solo career, which began in the late 1980s. The beginning of the era was marked by the album Szabadság vándorai.

Demjén's records can be sold in the millions, and his concerts in the thousands, the highlight of which is that he fills the Budapest Arena every year on December 30 (now for the 23rd time).

In recognition of his work, he is the owner of numerous professional and state awards.
