Eger Castle awaits visitors with an extended program offering during the Pentecost long weekend.
Alongside the annually popular all-day programs, such as the playhouse and arts and crafts workshops, our family games will also be featured this year, including "Sebő's Dream" (Sebő álma) and the castle's new interactive adventure book, the "Kövi Adventure" (Kövi kaland).
Sebő Balog is the young stable boy of the border fortress, and he wants to become one of István Dobó's valiant soldiers. Help him achieve his goal with your family! To do this, you must travel back in time all the way to the 11th century, and by solving varied, exciting tasks, you can also learn about the development of Eger Castle and the cathedral. So, if you are interested in how a small rotunda became a border fortress that repelled the Turks, this story was written for you! The program can be completed all day.
Fairy tale lovers can join Bea, the heroic woman of Eger Castle, who will perform the live storytelling of "The Prince Born from a Tulip" (A tulipánból lett királyfi) at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
Adventurous visitors can test their skills at the well-deservedly popular Valiant Trials (Vitézi próba), provided they are not intimidated by the giant puzzle, target throwing, or memory game.
In addition to the above programs, visitors have the opportunity to participate in the castle's regular programs; the weapon demonstrations and guided tours will also be available during the Pentecost weekend.
