Legényes band concert at Dobó István Square, as part of the Eger Advent 2025 festival series.
The Legényes Folk Band from Eger was formed in 2018 by folk music students of the Farkas Ferenc Music School in Eger. They perform traditional and arranged folk music from Hungary and the Carpathian Basin. The group has won several national competitions, including the Outstanding Quality Award at the Béla Halmos National Folk Music Gathering in Bonyhád and first place at the National Folk Music Competition in Szentes. They also reached the semifinals of the television talent show Fölszállott a páva and received the Stars of Eger Award. Several members of the ensemble are now students at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music.
