The band Kóda was formed in the summer of 2024 in Eger, and they have been remarkably active and productive since the very beginning. The members are: Tamás Suha (guitar), Tamás Kugler (vocals, guitar), and Réka Gyenes (violin). Tamás previously played in several formations in Pécs, and after moving to Eger, he reconnected with Tamás Kugler, whom he had already known from their earlier band, “Jaja.” Réka, who is also a trained musician and singing teacher, later joined them primarily as a violinist, also coming from the “Jaja” band.
The musical style of Kóda is difficult to define precisely, but the members play emotional, acoustic guitar-based music with occasional psychedelic tones and British pop influences, complemented by the violin. The band members emphasize the importance of meaningful lyrics and well-thought-out musical structures. For them, shared creation and the joy of playing music together are the main driving forces.
