Swing à la Django is an innovative Hungarian six-member band that has created a unique style by blending gypsy swing, authentic bossa nova, Hungarian folk music, French chansons, tango, and jazz. Their music, inspired by legendary Django Reinhardt, evokes the atmosphere of the 1930s and 1940s while transferring it to today's modern music environment. The band members are experienced musicians who have performed worldwide with renowned groups and orchestras. They have achieved great success with sold-out concerts in prestigious venues such as the Palace of Arts (MÜPA) in Budapest, performing with symphony orchestras and celebrated artists like Stochelo Rosenberg, Roby Lakatos, and Bangó Margit. Since their formation, the band has been grounded in spiritual and musical friendship, delivering virtuosic performances across Hungary, Europe, and beyond to an ever-growing audience. Their distinctive style, which they call ‘django pop,’ is based on virtuoso instrumental improvisations across various genres, making them a remarkable presence in the modern music scene.
