The Egri Bikavér hungarikum hosts the country's renowned gastro-hungarian restaurants in Hungary's largest, unique historical wine district.
Value - Tradition - Gastronomy
It was a great honor for Eger and the Eger wine region when in 2017 - as the first red wine in the country - our flagship wine, Egri Bikavér (Bull's Blood of Eger), received the Hungarikum title, symbolizing the pinnacle of the Hungarian national treasury.
Celebrating the anniversary of this event, strengthening the preservation of our country's values and unity, the Egri Bikavér Hungarikum is hosting the country's renowned Hungarikums - primarily in the fields of gastronomy and culture - for the sixth time in Hungary's largest, unique historical wine quarter, the Valley of the Beautiful Women. The event will showcase cultural, gastronomic, and natural values embodying the peak achievements of Hungarians, as well as handcrafted delicacies and specialties from small producers and artisans from Eger and the surrounding area.
The most famous Hungarikum dishes in one place: Karcag mutton stew, Baja fish soup, Hungarian goulash soup, dishes made from Hortobágy Grey cattle, Csaba sausage, Debrecen paired sausage, Gyula sausage, lángos (fried dough), Gundel pancake, chimney cake, Pozsonyi crescent...
In the cellars and restaurants, in addition to Egri Bikavér, other Hungarikums, spritzer, and pálinka can also be tasted.
